The engines of the G-Class deliver enormous power, are more economical and produce fewer pollutants.

For example, the dynamic and economical 165 kW (224 hp) engine of the G 320 CDI takes this model to a top speed of 177 km/h. Maximum torque of 540 Nm is developed at 1600 rpm, and remains constant to 2400 rpm. The G 320 CDI’s power is transferred to the road via the 7G-TRONIC automatic transmission.

The new 5.5-litre V8 engine in the G 500 has a peak output of 285 kW (388 hp) thanks to its 4 valves per cylinder and continuously adjustable intake and outlet camshafts. Its maximum torque is 530 Nm between 2800 and 4800 rpm - optimum power delivery and refinement guaranteed. The G 500 also features the 7G-TRONIC automatic transmission.

The G 55 AMG boasts some impressive technical data, too: from a displacement of 5.5 litres, this model’s V8 supercharged engine develops maximum power of 373 kW (507 hp) and maximum torque of 700 Nm. Its looks are appealing too, for example with 19-inch AMG 5-spoke alloy wheels, painted titanium grey, 275/55 R 19 tyres, body-coloured flared wheel arches, an AMG exhaust system with twin side-exiting tailpipes, a radiator grille with chrome highlights and trim strips in brushed aluminium.
