When you take the wheel of the G-Class, you have already delegated some of the key tasks. Thanks to a whole host of reliable electronic aids which are activated in critical situations. If there is a risk of the vehicle skidding, for example, the Electronic Stability Program (ESP®) kicks in. It restricts the engine torque, applies the brakes at one or more wheels and thus stabilises the vehicle.

In the event of an emergency stop, Brake Assist (BAS) provides the necessary brake pressure whilst at the same time assisting the anti-lock braking system (ABS) which has been developed and modified especially for the G-Class. This means that the driver can remain in control of the vehicle at all times, even in critical situations.

These electronic aids, coupled with the passive safety features, ensure a high level of protection for the vehicle occupants.
