COMAND APS multimedia system The COMAND APS multimedia system is a comprehensive entertainment and navigation package for your vehicle. The innovative system combines all the audio settings, telephone functions and the navigation system and can be conveniently operated via the central controller. Overview of equipment: Four 25-watt amplifiers 6-DVD changer (available as an optional extra) 40 GB hard disk for saving navigation data Adapter for various PC memory cards Display with TFT technology and 17.8-cm screen Free map updates for 39 European countries, for three years of vehicle first registration. Radio with integral CD/DVD player (DVD changer optional) MUSIC REGISTER with 6 GB storage for compressed audio files LINGUATRONIC voice-operated control system for audio, telephone and navigation Radio with integral FM twin tuner
AMG Performance media (optional) Prepare yourself professionally for every journey: with the AMG Performance Media System you can enter, visualise and save vehicle-specific data such as coolant and motor oil temperature, torque or accelerator pedal position, plus analyse any driving routes including sector and lap times for the next journey. With InCar Hotspot the vehicle provides unrestricted high-speed internet access while the vehicle is stationary along with the option of downloading apps and making vehicle settings. All information is shown on the COMAND display and the functions are accessed via the COMAND controller. The main points at a glance: Display and storage of vehicle-specific data: coolant, motor oil and transmission oil temperature, torque, output, accelerator pedal position (0 to 100 percent), current tyre pressure for all four wheels. Display and analysis of journey information: brake pedal position (0 to 100 percent), transverse and longitudinal acceleration, steering wheel position (0 to 180 degrees) speed (screenshots can be saved on a USB stick), recording of race tracks using GPS data in the vehicle, analysis of sectors, lap and race times, import and export of journey data in gpx format (Nürburgring Nordschleife and Hockenheimring tracks saved ex factory), speed, time, journey. Specific vehicle settings for different driving situations: transmission modes, adjustable damping and ESP® mode (same as AMG DRIVE UNIT), setting and saving preferred set-up settings for transmission modes and adjustable damping, settings for necessary parameters for running a race start. Multimedia functions: unrestricted high-speed internet access in a stationary car using InCar Hotspot, use and download of individual apps, local search with POIs (saved ex factory).
Bang & Olufsen BeoSound AMG sound system (optional) The optional new sound system has been specially developed for the SLS AMG by Mercedes-Benz and AMG, together with Danish audio specialists Bang & Olufsen. The Bang & Olufsen BeoSound AMG with Dolby Digital 5.1 high-end surround sound system provides an exclusive music experience of the highest standard. The basis for this is not just the 1000 W ICE power amplifier and 11 high-powered speakers, but also the precise distribution of the music signals controlled by the sound processor. Two illuminated tweeters provide an additional visual highlight on the instrument panel.
