This superior quality package consists of AMG carbon-fibre trim elements; seat backrest trim, seat side trim and door sills in carbon fibre.

The memory package takes the stress out of frequent driver changes by storing the individual settings for both seats. As soon as a driver selects a setting with the touch of a button, electric controls automatically set the seat, head restraints, steering column and exterior mirrors back to the previously saved positions. In addition, when the driver engages reverse gear, the passenger side exterior mirror adjusts to a position affording better visibility.

The Smoker package consists of an integrated ashtray and cigarette lighter, which can also be used to supply external 12 V devices.

Extremely short braking distances, a precise pressure point, and maximum fade resistance – the newly developed AMG ceramic high-performance composite brakes deliver braking power on a par with motorsport vehicles. Produced in a vacuum at a temperature of 1700 degrees Celsius, the carbon-fibre-reinforced ceramic brake discs offer a weight saving of around 40 percent and a service life many times greater than cast-iron discs.

The pinnacle of ultimate sportiness is the AMG Performance suspension.

It is best suited for race track performance, with a firmer spring and shock absorber set-up for optimised lateral dynamics and consequently an even more dynamic motoring experience. The lowering by a few centimetres also provides even more of a motorsport feeling.

The AMG RIDE CONTROL sports suspension underscores the motorsport credentials of the SLS AMG Roadster.

The adaptive damping system adjusts the damping characteristics of the shock absorbers depending on the selected damping mode of the driving style and the road surface conditions.

By pressing the "AMG suspension" button you can choose between three suspension tuning modes: "C" for comfort, "S" for sport, and "S+" for sport PLUS.

With its firmer shock absorber set-up in the "S" and "S+" modes, the AMG RIDE CONTROL sports suspension excellent lateral dynamics and consequently an even more dynamic motoring experience.

Operating at speeds between 30 and 250 km/h, Active Blind Spot Assist monitors the area behind the vehicle as well as to the left and right. If a vehicle is detected in the monitored area, a warning signal appears in the relevant exterior mirror.

If the driver then operates the indicator, an additional audible warning is sounded. This also happens if vehicles move from two lanes away into the lane alongside the driver.

Prepare yourself professionally for every journey: with the AMG Performance Media System you can enter, visualise and save vehicle-specific data such as coolant and motor oil temperature, torque or accelerator pedal position, plus analyse any driving routes including sector and lap times for the next journey.

With InCar Hotspot the vehicle provides unrestricted high-speed internet access while the vehicle is stationary along with the option of downloading apps and making vehicle settings. All information is shown on the COMAND display and the functions are accessed via the COMAND controller.

The optional new sound system has been specially developed for the SLS AMG by Mercedes-Benz and AMG, together with Danish audio specialists Bang & Olufsen. The Bang & Olufsen BeoSound AMG with Dolby Digital 5.1 high-end surround sound system provides an exclusive music experience of the highest standard.

The basis for this is not just the 1000 W ICE power amplifier and 11 high-powered speakers, but also the precise distribution of the music signals controlled by the sound processor. Two illuminated tweeters provide an additional visual highlight on the instrument panel.

The AMG carbon-fibre exterior mirrors offer an effective contrast to the vehicle paint finish and underline its motorsport credentials.

The optional AMG carbon engine compartment cover highlights the sporty credentials of the SLS AMG Roadster and emphasises the structured layout of engine components.

Nine exciting paint finishes are available for the SLS AMG, including the classic sports car colours silver, red and black. Two designo finishes and five exclusive AMG colours are also available as optional extras. A number of these are named after legendary racing circuits, including Monza, Le Mans, Imola and Sepang.

Two optional designo paint finishes are available: silk-matt finish designo magno allanite grey, and designo mystic white 2. The magno matt finishes in particular emphasise the distinctive contours and styling of the SLS AMG Roadster, adding a sensuous, silky quality to the exterior.

AIRSCARF neck-level heating extends the cabriolet season – and allows driving with an open top even when the exterior temperature is low. At the push of a button propellers on the reverse sides of the head restraints draw in air, which is then heated, blown out again through a vent in the front of the seat and warms the neck and throat like an invisible scarf.

The AMG Performance Steering Wheel with a flattened lower section is a 3-spoke steering wheel in nappa leather/Alcantara®. Silver-coloured aluminium steering wheel gearshift paddles make for fast gear changes and highlight the sporty character of the SLS AMG Roadster.
