4-cylinder diesel engines

The direct-injection 4-cylinder diesel engines deliver impressive power reserves and efficient propulsion. They come in two output levels that both demonstrate sustainable qualities, impress with a hefty torque and boast an instant throttle response even in the lower engine speed range.

The following models are available to choose from: GLA 200 CDI, GLA 200 CDI 4MATIC, GLA 220 CDI and GLA 220 CDI 4MATIC.

The fourth-generation common-rail diesel technology boasts an increased injection pressure, optimised combustion chambers and precise solenoid valve injectors. Improved ignition pressure and a turbocharger with a variable nozzle turbine ensure a high torque in every engine speed range.

The standard ECO start/stop function ensures that the engine is temporarily switched off if the vehicle is stationary, thereby saving fuel. Furthermore, the ECO display in the instrument cluster provides information about your own driving style.

Measures such as intelligently controlled ancillaries and optimised aerodynamics all help to sustainably increase the vehicle's efficiency. All models also meet the requirements of the Euro 6 emissions standards.
