The Stowage package offers a host of useful organisational aids for driver and front and rear passengers. It comprises a spectacles compartment in the overhead control panel, stowage compartments under the front seats, luggage nets on the back of the front seats and a luggage net in the front passenger's footwell.

A combination of various security features helps to effectively warn of break-ins, theft and towing. An alarm is triggered upon unauthorised intrusions or changes in the vehicle's attitude.

The system triggers an alarm if an unauthorised person opens one of the vehicle doors, the tailgate or the bonnet. The alarm also sounds if the ignition lock is shorted/removed or the foot brake applied.

The tow-away protection function responds to a change in the position of the vehicle and can be deactivated – for example, if the car is being towed or loaded onto another vehicle

The stylishly coordinated combination of high-quality interior appointments meets highest expectations with regard to comfort, quality and design. The highlights include heated sports seats with 4-way lumbar support, which like the multifunction steering wheel and the shift lever are wrapped in leather.

The suspension, which has a 15 millimetre lower ride height, and the Sports Direct-Steer system with speed-dependent power assist and variable steering ratio enhance agility, ride comfort and directional stability.

The suspension is fitted with harder front and rear axle springs. The Sports Direct-Steer system ensures precision handling and reduces steering requirements considerably - for example, on tight bends or when reversing into a parking space - with a more direct steering ratio. On the other hand, straight-line stability at high speeds is particularly good.

Net pockets on the left and right as well as a folding box below the load compartment floor provide organisation and safety in the load compartment. The backrests of the rear bench seat can be tilted up by 15 degrees for optimal use of the load compartment.

The Light and Sight package provides added interior value appeal and optimum visibility in the vehicle. It comprises functional lighting that enhances comfort and safety, as well as ambience lighting that lends the interior even more atmosphere.

The Non-Smoker package replaces the front ashtray with a 12V socket and a stowage compartment.

The Night package for the exterior lends the vehicle a sporty-expressive character with striking equipment features. They include selected black design elements – from the two blades in the radiator grille and the exterior mirrors to alloy wheels and the stylised underride guard.

The Seat Comfort package improves seat comfort on journeys, both long and short, by providing the seats with more options for ergonomic individualisation and for adjustment to the desired seat position.

This includes the convenient height adjustment for front passenger's seat and the seat cushion angle adjustment for the driver's and front passenger's seat.

Standard equipment in conjunction with one of the design and equipment lines Style, Urban and AMG Line, as well as for the GLA 45 AMG 4MATIC and the Exclusive package.

Both exterior mirrors can be power-adjusted and -folded at the push of a button to protect the mirror housing against damages, for instance during parking. For improved vision and visibility the exterior mirror on the driver's side and the interior mirror automatically dim continuously.

The combination of Blind Spot Assist and Lane Keeping Assist bears a two-fold safety benefit. The systems can warn drivers visually and audibly of vehicles in the blind spot and use pulsating steering-wheel vibrations to indicate inadvertent lane departures.

Inattention and fatigue can result in you drifting out of your lane without realising it. The system can recognise inadvertent lane departures and can warn the driver with pulsating steering-wheel vibrations.

Blind Spot Assist visualizes one of the major hazards in traffic. If a vehicle is detected in the blind spot, a red triangle appears in the exterior mirror. Should the driver fail to notice the visual clue and activate the turn indicator, the system issues an additional audible warning.
